Why 22?
The Major Arcana of the tarot has 22 cards, numbered 0 (or 22) to 21. The destiny matrix uses the numbers 1–22 and gives The Fool the number 22 rather than 0.
Justice and Strength: 8 or 11?
In the Rider-Waite deck, Strength is 8 and Justice is 11. The destiny matrix follows the older Marseille numbering — Justice 8, Strength 11. So if you read tarot, remember the swap when you look up your matrix.

Tarot vs Matrix Reading
In tarot, cards are drawn at random for a question. In the matrix, the arcana come from your birth date and stay fixed. Many readers use both: the matrix for life themes, the cards for current questions.
